Rules and Regulations
Team Shirts
- No two teams in the same Division shall have shirts of similar colour
- All Shirts must have an 8 inch number on the back with the exception of all groups under 9 which will have a 6 inch number.
- No Alternations to the shirts (ie. Names on the back) are to be made until the teams have been finalized as determined by the League.
Dress
- All Players must wear their League supplied shirts for each game. Shin guards must be worn in all divisions
- In cold weather players may wear other attire under their complete uniform. (This rule will be waived if the league cannot supply a properly fitting uniform.)
- All players must wear outdoor soccer shoes (except for the Little Kickers divisions which may wear running shoes if parents are unable to find a size small enough.)
Soccer Ball Sizes
- Little Kickers and Rascals will use a size # 3 ball
- Squirts and Atoms will use a size # 4 ball
- Mosquitoes & Adults will use a size # 5 ball

Playing Rules
- Little Kicker Division will now be an instructional divisional. No scores will be kept for these games however names will get published on our website when goals are scored. During the games 2 coaches are allowed on the field.. No Parents
- Rascal Division only 1 coach allowed on the field per team to assist players with learning the game.
- Games Points – 3 points for a win, 1 for a tie, 0 for a loss
- ALL players shall have equal playing time. (Exception to the rule is the goalie who may play the entire game in net)
- At the discretion of the Board the playing time rule can be amended for all Divisions.
- Forfeit Game – Big Field - Any team not having at least 7 players including the goalie by 5 minutes after the scheduled game start time will forfeit the game and the game will be registered as a loss. Score will be 0-0 with the win going to the other team.
- Forfeit Game – Top Field - Any team not having at least 5 players including the goalie by 5 minutes after the scheduled game start time will forfeit the game and the game will be registered as a loss. Score will be 0-0 with the win going to the other team.
- Forfeit Game – Bottom Field - Any team not having at least 6 players including the goalie by 5 minutes after the scheduled game start time will forfeit the game and the game will be registered as a loss. Score will be 0-0 with the win going to the other team.
- A team bringing up players cannot bring up more players than the opposing team has.
- If a team or both teams just meets the minimum number of players they are able to bring up players to allow the team some spares so players can rest as long as the teams are still even.
- Once a game has started, you can only bring up players if you are within 15 minutes of the start of the game. These players must have play time during those 15 minutes. In other words you cannot add additional players after the first 15 minutes of the game.
- You cannot take a player from the same division you are in if you are short
- Teams who elect not to play in inclement weather will be given zero points for the game and the game will be registered as a loss. Score will be 0-0 with the win going to the other team
- Games will only be cancelled and rescheduled if possible due to extreme weather conditions (ie. lightning) at the discretion of the referee and the board. A decision will be made to cancel one game or all games depending on the weather report.
- No overtime during regular season.
- The Executive Board of the League at their Executive Meeting may modify, add or delete any Rules or Regulations for the better of the League. The league will be notified within 14 days of any changes.
Code of Conduct
Coaches
- Children are playing for their enjoyment
- Fair playing time for ALL players regardless of skill level
- Never ridicule or yell at any child for making a mistake or blame them for losing a game
- Set a good example, applaud all good plays for both teams
- Win or Lose show good sportsmanship
- Discourage intentional rough or violent play
- Discourage foul language or verbal abuse to anyone
- Never yell at an official for making a bad call
Players
- Players are part of a team, they share in the successes and failures.
- Fair play and co-operation is encouraged at all times
- Play for your enjoyment, not your parents
- Control your temper – avoid rough or violent play
- Foul language or verbal abuse is not acceptable behaviour
- Play by the rules
- Winning is only part of it. Having fun, improving skills, making friends and doing your best are also important.
- Applaud all good plays for both teams
- Win or Lose show good sportsmanship
Parents
- Children are playing for their enjoyment not their parents
- Encourage your child to play by the rules of the game
- Show your appreciation of volunteer coaches and officials

Zero Tolerance
The Plymouth Park Soccer League is a strong supporter of promoting mutual respect, fair play cooperation and encourages the values of good sportsmanship throughout the league. Our goal is to eliminate verbal abuse and maintain a safe physical environment for our players, coaches, referees and spectators.
Policy
Any person judged by the League to be guilty of verbally abusive conduct or physical abuse towards another person while at the soccer field will be reported to the Disciplinary Committee. The Disciplinary Committee will then review and deal with the situation.
Consequences are and not limited to:
- Verbal Warning
- Written Warning
- Game Suspension
- Banned from the Park
- Police Involvement

- Games will be played to a win
- If tied at the end of regular time, Overtime will take place
- If still tied we will go to a penalty shootout.

Total overtime will be played. (No golden goal) After the 1st period of overtime, playing teams will change ends and continue (no break)
*Rascals will play one 10 minute period since they do not change ends.
Shootout Rules
- Any player can be chosen as a goalie for the shootout but he/she must stay in goal for the complete shootout except in the case of a real injury where a change may be made.
- Five players will be selected by each coach. They will sit in the centre circle. The goalie can be one of the five to take a kick.
- Alternate kicks will be taken until all 10 players have taken a penalty kick.
- The team with the most goals wins
- If still tied any 5 players will be chosen by the coach and alternate kicks will be taken on a sudden death basis. (This means if one team scores and the other does not the game is over)
